Magpie Mountain

As I grew up, I learned that many cultural relics have been lost in the long river of history. Many of them are damaged, even with only a small piece remaining. Some cultural relics, even if they are intact, do not have the opportunity to return to their own country. The damage and loss of cultural relics made me feel regretful, and also inspired me to create Magpie Mountain. I chose Shan Hai Jing, which is a very ancient Chinese book. It introduces various strange and unusual plants, animals, and landforms. Because this book contains many descriptions, I chose the first chapter to showcase a glimpse of what I saw. At the same time, I also incorporated cultural relics from the Qing and Shang Dynasty, as I wanted to show the audience artifacts that have been passed down from ancient times. I hope that the audience can use their eyes and their hearts to feel the charm passed down from ancient times, and that we should cherish cultural relics even more.
